🚨 Panic at Midnight! Larry Rushes Lynette to the Hospital After Sudden Stomach Pain 😱

The clock on the microwave blinked 12:03 a.m. when it happened.

Larry had just turned off the living room light when he heard a sharp gasp from the bedroom—followed by a sound that made his heart stop.

“Larry…!” Lynette’s voice trembled, thin and strained.

He rushed back into the room and found her sitting upright on the bed, one hand pressed hard against her stomach, the other clutching the blanket like it was the only thing keeping her steady. Her face was pale, and sweat dotted her forehead.

“What’s wrong?” Larry asked, already moving toward her.

“I—I don’t know,” she whispered. “It hurts. Really bad. It just started all at once.”

At first, Larry tried to stay calm. Maybe it was something she ate. Maybe it would pass. But when Lynette bent forward in pain and let out a quiet cry, panic flooded his chest.

“This isn’t normal,” he said firmly. “We’re going to the hospital. Now.”

🌙 A Midnight Race

Within minutes, Larry had grabbed his keys, phone, and a jacket for Lynette. The house was eerily silent as they hurried out the door, the cool night air hitting them like a shock.

Lynette winced with every step.

“I’m sorry,” she murmured. “I didn’t mean to wake you like this.”

“Don’t apologize,” Larry said, guiding her into the car. His hands shook as he fastened her seatbelt. “Just stay with me. We’ll get help.”

The engine roared to life, and Larry pulled out onto the empty street, headlights cutting through the darkness. Every red light felt like an enemy. Every second felt too slow.

“On a scale from one to ten?” Larry asked, trying to keep his voice steady.

“Eight… maybe nine,” Lynette said, breathing carefully. “It comes in waves.”

Larry’s grip tightened on the steering wheel. His mind raced with worst-case scenarios, each more terrifying than the last.

🏥 Bright Lights and Heavy Fear

The hospital loomed ahead, glowing against the night like a promise and a threat all at once.

Larry practically leaped out of the car, rushing to Lynette’s side as nurses met them at the entrance.

“Severe abdominal pain,” he explained quickly. “It started suddenly.”

They wheeled Lynette away, and for the first time that night, Larry had to let go of her hand.

“I’ll be right here,” he said, forcing a smile. “I’m not going anywhere.”

As the doors swung shut, the waiting room felt impossibly quiet. Larry paced back and forth, replaying the night in his head. Had she mentioned feeling off earlier? Had he missed something?

Minutes stretched into what felt like hours.

⏳ The Longest Wait

Finally, a doctor approached.

“Larry?” she asked.

He stood so fast his chair scraped loudly against the floor. “Yes—how is she?”

“She’s stable,” the doctor said calmly. “We’re running some tests to figure out what’s causing the pain. You did the right thing bringing her in.”

Larry let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.

“Can I see her?”

Soon, he was at Lynette’s bedside. She looked exhausted but relieved when she saw him.

“You stayed,” she said softly.

“Of course I did,” Larry replied, squeezing her hand gently. “You scared me half to death.”

She managed a small smile. “I guess midnight drama isn’t my best look.”

Despite everything, Larry laughed—a shaky, relieved sound.

🌅 After the Storm

As the night slowly faded into early morning, the fear began to loosen its grip. Whatever the cause, Lynette wasn’t alone. She was safe. And Larry was right there, just as he promised.

Outside, the sun started to rise—soft and quiet, as if the world was giving them a second chance to breathe.

And though the panic of midnight would stay with them for a long time, so would something else:

The reminder that in moments of fear, love moves fast—sometimes faster than panic itself. 💙
